Improve your well-being with support from the Wellbeing Team

Students at Maastricht University can turn to the Wellbeing Team for a year round programme focused on mental and physical health. This includes a wide range of lectures and workshops on the Wellbeing Wednesdays as well as two annual Wellbeing Weeks full of activities such as the Wellbeing Wednesdays and the two annual Wellbeing Weeks, but also peer-to-peer activities. You can find the complete Wellbeing Movement offer here.

You can contact the UM Psychologists for a Quick Psychological Referral (QPR), workshops and trainings as well as individual support with a short waiting time. You can find the complete UM Psychologists' offer here.

Through their offer, the Wellbeing Team aims to promote and increase mental health awareness within UM and to reduce stigma regarding mental health issues. They also provide easy access for UM students and staff to participate voluntarily in the activities in a safe, inclusive and supportive way.

Maria Mierzejewksa is one of the students who regularly attends Wellbeing Movement workshops.

The range of workshops and training sessions is so wide that there is something for everyone. The workshops I have attended have dealt with issues from my personal life, but also related to my interests. From creative workshops such as knitting to physical activities such as the city sightseeing running tour.”

All workshops and training sessions are free for UM students. “The threshold to join a workshop is incredibly low. That makes it really easy to ask for help if you can’t figure something out yourself. I think that’s great. The Wellbeing Team makes it easy to take good care of yourself and to meet new people in an accessible and safe way!”
